We are excited to announce a special gathering for our UChurch family & friends; a time of connection, refreshing and ‘rejuvenation.’
On April 21st & 22nd, we are hosting a time for everyone to come together with our exceptional guest, Peter Jackson.
For over 30 years, Peter has been encouraging people all over the planet on the transformational journey that leads to true freedom. We all face the pressures of our world that seek to shape our sense of worth, identity and, ultimately, joy. For some of us, it may be subtle; for others, it is more evident that we are subject to people’s approval, believing that “the more I do, the more I am.” Peter’s personal story is full of wisdom and humour shared with such encouraging transparency it liberates listeners to enter into the truth of becoming free.
Below is a short video greeting from Peter sharing some context for our time together. So take a listen, and invite a friend.
You will be greatly encouraged whether you attend all the sessions or just a few. If you cannot join us on Friday evening and/or Saturday, no problem, Peter will also be joining us for our Sunday gathering at The Village on April 23. We will have childcare on Sunday, so join in and be part of the family.
8551 Bowness Rd NW
Friday Evening: April 21: 7:30 pm
Saturday, April 22: 10:00 am - 12:30 pm & 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm (lunch break 12:30-2:30)
The session on Saturday, April 22, from 10:00 am - 12:30 pm will be age/ content appropriate for youth 12 and older.
The Bowness Lions Club is a lovely venue in the heart of Bowness, only minutes from Bowness Park. Unfortunately, the parking lot has minimal spaces, so please find parking along the street.
There is no cost for the weekend, but we’d like to know if you’re coming and bringing friends so we have a rough idea of how many people to prepare for on Friday and Saturday.
There is limited space and great interest, so please RSVP to let us know if you will be attending on either Friday or Saturday and let us know how many will attend.
On both days, coffee, tea and snacks will be provided, but Saturday lunch is up to you! We’re family, so bring something to share for a picnic at Bowness Park or check out the local offerings.
On Friday evening, we are hosting a special movie night for the amazing kids of our church family. The movie will be shown in the venue's basement, with popcorn and other surprises.
Many parents love how our kids grab a pillow and blanket to watch a movie, so we encourage each kid attending to do the same. We want them to feel safe and comfortable and enjoy a great movie together.
This will be a minimally-supervised event, and we are targeting a movie appropriate for children aged 6+. Please also remember to register for the event and indicate the number of children attending, so we can make this a special evening for the extra special kids amongst us.
