Mark your calendar for Tuesday, August 18. UChurch's board of directors is hosting an evening of listening prayer, and the whole community is invited.
Here's the invitation, in the Board's own words:
"The Board would like to invite our 'Tribe' to gather together and spend time with God to listen for His gentle whispers of revelation and guidance as we continue on our journey together into His plan for His church. The Board, from its perspective, is seeking to watch and hear where it is being led, just as the council has been doing and as we all do in our own lives.
Perhaps you have been sensing things in your own heart about this, a call into Him and His adventure. Maybe finding time to listen has been difficult as your life seems to rush along. Here is our invitation to set aside time with those who love you to 'come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest'" (Mark 6:31, NIV)
"We offer an encouragement to you to prepare for this evening by going away with Him for some rest, to prepare your hearts, listen for His voice, and bring what you sense, hear, see, and experience to our larger gathering on the 18th, where we will share, continue to listen, and celebrate His welcome into His kingdom as His kids and His Church. We as the Board would cherish your time and your active presence in a time together with our Abba."
