Blessed New Year

Blessed New Year everyone!

Regardless of the circumstances we find ourselves in these past many months, be assured, Aslan is on the move and we are on the precipice of something fresh God is seeding into the world.  There are obvious challenges surfacing in the world, anger and division have shaken many, but in this wilderness time between ‘what was’ and ‘what is to come’, the light of God’s spirit will shine even brighter as He reveals himself in you, and through you.

This is a very good time to lean into our hearts seeing how Abba is making himself known to us, revealing things and watering seeds for the myriad of ways he wants to continue to transform us.  He pours new, fresh wine into renewed, revitalized wineskins.  He is committed to our transformation; He will show each of us what it means to become one with the love he wants to reveal to you and pour through you to refresh the hearts of others.

We know it is not possible by our own effort, but what we can do, is make space in our heart allowing Him to reveal Himself further to us.

The transition from ‘what was’, to what is yet to unfold requires a transformational journey through the desert wilderness. As much as we might like to go around the wilderness, find a shortcut, or even occasionally long for familiar past comforts, most I have spoken to share a resounding refrain; “no going back, let’s go through the wilderness, together, in the fullness of time, into the new He has for us.”

It was almost two years ago, as the pandemic began and hoarding of toilet paper was the headline of the day when Father encouraged us with a hint of what was unfolding…

“Stop dwelling on the past. Don’t even remember these former things. I am doing something brand new, something unheard of. Even now it sprouts and grows and matures. Don’t you perceive it?” I will make a way in the wilderness and open up flowing streams in the desert.”   Isaiah 43

Many are perceiving it, and in the wilderness of transition there is a promise – he never leaves or forsakes us, he is making a way in it and through it by opening flowing streams.  As 2022 unfolds, many of us will come to see the pathway through forming, experiencing a transformation that the refreshing streams bring. It is never a solo journey, we get to go together, adventure together.

This Sunday (January 9 @ 11:00 am) we are going to take 45 min together to share some of the journeys ahead in the next few weeks. This includes expanding on the invite to us all to make space for a time of fasting & listening to God (January 10-14 see the post for information).    This will lead us to our first 2022 gathering in person on January 16th @ 4:30 pm at the Village where will be sharing what he has given to each of us.
